Garrett Rasa

Garrett Paul Rasa, age 8, of Corder, MO passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010. Garrett Paul Rasa was born October 2, 2001 in Independence, MO, the son of David and Christy Casdorph Rasa. Garrett was a third grade student at Leslie Bell Elementary School in Lexington He was Baptized into Christ November 18, 2001 at Grace Lutheran Church of Lexington and attended Wednesday with the Word. Garrett was a first year 4Her, was a member of Boy Scouts in Lexington, and active in Little League basketball, football and baseball. Garrett is survived by his parents, David and Christy Rasa, and a sister, Ashley, all of the home. Maternal grandparents, Fred and Kathy Casdorph; paternal grandparents, Norman and Susan Rasa; great-grandma, Velma Zimmerschied, of Higginsville, MO; aunts, Michelle Ralston and husband, Jody, Stephanie Rasa, and Sylvia Stapleton. There are several great-aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of friends, all of which Garrett called family. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Scott Casdorph and Adam Ashinhurst. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington. Burial in Higginsville City Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the church. Memorials may be made to the family. The family will decide at a later date on the memorial.
