Frederick Everett Beutler (Fred), 84 of Odessa, Missouri formerly of Kansas City, MO passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at home surrounded by family.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO, 64133. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Fred was born on December 15, 1931 in McPherson, KS to Clarence M. and Dorothy (Zimmerman) Beutler. He graduated from Southeast High School in Kansas City, MO. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Donna Lee (Ames) Beutler, Father & Mother Clarence M. Beutler & Dorothy (Zimmerman) Beutler, three sisters & one brother, Phyllis Broussard, Margaret Pitcher, Olive Mehl, & Richard Beutler, & two Great Grandchildren
Fred is survived by his two daughters and a son, Dottie Ogilvie (Kenny), Renee Rick (Tommy), Richard Beutler (Orenetta). Seven grandchildren, Melonie Cheers, Zachary Ogilvie, Nicki Rick, Christina Beutler, TJ Rick, Natalie Ogilvie, Christopher Beutler and 13 Great Grandchildren.
He spent most of his young adult life in Kansas City as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He joined the Navy serving on the USS Quapaw during the Korean War. He was a retired United States Post Man, he was proud to be American. Fred had many hobbies and interests including fishing, trap shooting, his motorcycle, The Boy Scouts Of America as an Eagle Scout of Mic-O-Say, and in his down time he could be found "mildewing" by his family in the shed/barn or in the yard. He would love to ask anyone "if you have two shoes and one sock, what do you need?"
