Frances E. Markley

Frances E. Markley, 72, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at her home. Frances E. Philley was born August 1, 1942 in Pioneer, Louisiana, the daughter of Tobe and Ollie Smith Philley. She married Dennis M. Markley on June 28, 1968 in Miami, OK. Frances was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. Frances is survived by children: Mike Markley, Blue Springs, Shelley Welch, Lexington, Victoria Smith (Mark), Lees Summit, Michelle Brooks (Jesse), Blue Springs, Christopher Markley, Marshall, Nicholas Markley (Carrie), Lees Summit, and Melissa Markley, Blue Springs. A brother, Pete Philley, Olla, LA and a sister, George Ann Curtis, Prescott, Arkansas. There are 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis, on July 3, 1992, her parents, and sisters, Margaret Owen, Helen Young and Mable Hillman. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South St., Lexington, MO 64067 Visitation from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday. Burial in the Dover Cemetery.
