Frances Ann Gremmel, 44, of Lexington, MO passed away at her home on Sunday, March 8, 2015. Frances Smith was born April 1, 1970 in Hattiesburg, MS to Tune Thomas and Mattie Lee Tatum. She married Adam Stewart Gremmel on November 6, 1994 in Richmond, MO. She was a supervisor of a group home for Lafayette County Board of Sheltered Services and she had also worked for 13 years for the Higginsville Habilitation Center. She was a member of Heart of God Fellowship. Frances is survived by her husband, Adam, of the home. Mother, Mattie McCray, Father, Tune Thomas and step-mom, LeEdna Thomas. Children, Amy Kay Wick (Michael) of Edmonton, Canada, Brian Gremmel, Lexington, and Kimberly Sue Reed, of Nevada, MO. Brothers: John Tatum (Linda), Robert Smith, Joe Thomas (Ann). Sisters: Annie Lee Clincy (Theodore), Fannie M. Smith, Linda J. McCray, Alice C. Smith (William), Mattie Smith, Johnnie Pearl Payton (Curtis). There are nine grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Alyssa Gremmel, step-father, Eli McCray, brothers: James Tatum and L.C. Thomas. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller funeral Home, 1720 South Street, Lexington, MO (660) 259-2245. Burial in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Visitation from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday. Memorials may be made to the family.
