Evelyn Marie Stark, 90, of Higginsville, passed away January 30, 2019 at Meyer Care Center, Higginsville. Funeral service will be Monday, February 4, 2019 at 10:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Higginsville. Visitation will also be on Monday at the church from 9:00 until 10:00 am. Burial will be in the Waverly Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for expenses.
Evelyn was born November 12, 1928 in Waverly to Leonard and Della (Duval) Schmidt. She married Carl Stark on February 10, 1951 in Waverly. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1985. Evelyn worked at S & K Industries and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Pauline Adams of Harrisonville, Carol Howard of Lexington, W.C. Stark of Lexington and Lawrence Stark of Higginsville; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Sandy Schmidt; and sister, Mary Louise Plattner.
