Eva May (Kincaid) Cooper, 92, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd Street, Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at McKendree Cemetery in Odessa, MO. Eva was born on June 28, 1929, in Barnumtom, MO to Frank and Emma (McMillan) Kincaid. On September 6, 1947, Eva was united in marriage to John William Cooper in Climax Springs, MO. After 71 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on December 4, 2018. She was a homemaker. Eva was a member of the New Beginnings Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed quilting, cooking, taking care of the grandchildren and family, and helping her husband, John, when he was performing pastoral duties.
Survivors include five grandchildren, DeLane Cooper of Odessa, MO, John Cooper of Odessa, MO, and Darrell Cooper, Jr. of Odessa, MO; Justen Cooper and wife, Cara of Lowry City, MO, and Kyla Roberts and husband, Adam of Edwards, MO; eight great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; a sister, Rita Rimmer and husband, David, of Raytown, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband, John, Eva was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Darrell Dwayne Cooper, Sr. and Johnny Dwight Cooper; two brothers, Freddie and Frank Kincaid; and seven sisters, Leona Edison, Gladys Rainey, Ferby Keltner, June Smith, Reba Holmes, Norma Keltner, and Alma Lee Kennicutt.
