Esther Brockmeyer, 101, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Meyer Care Center, Higginsville, MO. Funeral services for Mrs. Brockmeyer will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Odessa at 2:00 pm. Visitation for Mrs. Brockmeyer will be held on Wednesday also from 1 pm until service time at the church. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lexington, MO. Memorials may be made to Preferred Hospice or the the American Heart Association.

Esther Lee Murry was born on July 30, 1914 south of Wellington, MO. To Daniel and Georgia Booker Murry. Esther married William Rodenberg on October 14, 1932 in Wellington, MO. Mr. Rodenberg preceded Esther in death on August 5, 1971. Esther later married Ed. Brockmeyer on March 17, 1979 in Buckner, MO. He preceded Esther in death on August 29, 1990. Esther was a homemaker and care giver for many in her family as well as helping other families in their time of need.

Survivors include her daughters, Betty Popejoy and husband, Larry, Higginsville, Mo and Donna Schwartz, Odessa. There are 10 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren, also numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Earl Murry and wife, Alline, Odessa, Kenneth Murry and wife Betty, Odessa. A sister also survives, Reba Owings and husband Don, and a sister in law, Norma Jean Murry, Odessa. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Shirley Barker, one great grandson, Collin Dieckmann, two husbands, two brothers, Milford and Gene Murry and five sisters, Clydie Adams, Gracie Ailor, Bernice Barker, Edna Browning, and Alberta Brown.
