Eris C. Goodloe

ERIS C GOODLOE Eris C. Goodloe, 97, of Lexington died on Tuesday evening surrounded by her family, December 10, 2013, at Shirkey Nursing home and Rehab Center, Richmond. Eris C. Elmore was born on June 12, 1916 in Prescott, AR; to Homer B. and Mary Smith Elmore. She married Mitchell C. Goodloe on November 20, 1934 in Prescott AR. Eris and Mitchell were the proprietors of the Goodloe Boarding Home for the aged and disabled for 30 years located in rural Lexington. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lexington. Survivors include her children, a daughter, Mary Belle Maxwell and husband, Donald, Lexington, a son, Ross Goodloe and wife Nancy, Lexington. There are 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great- grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Betty Dodwell and Gladys Wicker, Arkansas, many nieces and nephews. Eris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mitchell, a son, Wayne Goodloe, two brothers, L.C. and Orland Elmore; two sisters, Erma Sandidge and Frances McDade. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 2:00 PM at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lexington. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, New York, NY 10004
