Elvin Barnes, 75, of Lexington, MO passed away at his home on Saturday, October 25, 2014 after an extended illness. Visitation for Elvin will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 10 am until 11:00 am at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Graveside services will be held at Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 11:00 am. Memorials may be made to Preferred Hospice or the First Assembly of God Church, Lexington. Elvin Barnes was born on August 18, 1939 at Bozeman, Montana to Ray and Florence Schouten Barnes. Elvin married Marie Thomas on July 13, 1963 in Las Vegas NV. Elvin was a diesel mechanic, mixer-driver and had worked at Green Quarries, he was also an Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife of the home, a daughter Joyce Vance and husband, Greg, a granddaughter, Lisa Vance and a great grandson, Austin Vance, all of Lexington. Also surviving is a brother, Vernon Barnes and wife, Bee, Concho, AZ; and a sister Pam Little, Kalama, WA. Elvin was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Wilma Francis, Faye McFee and Betty Shepherd as well as 2 brothers, Russell and Wayne Barnes.
