Elnor Ruth Seitz

Elnor Ruth Seitz, 99, of Webster Groves, Missouri, formerly of Lexington, Missouri, passed away July 26, 2023 at Laclede Grove Assisted Living, Webster Groves.  Mrs. Seitz will lie in state (family will not be present) Friday, July 28, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 am at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lexington.  Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Church of Christ or Sounds of the Heart.  Memories and condolences may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on Facebook.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South Street, Lexington, MO  64067, 660-259-2245.

Mrs. Seitz was born March 21, 1924 in Wellington, Missouri to George and Susanna (Roedel) Bergsicker.  She graduated from Wellington High School and on August 31, 1947 married Julius Seitz in Wellington.  Mrs. Seitz was a homemaker who loved to sew and spend time with her family and friends.  Mrs. Seitz was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She participated in Women’s Circle #2, making stuffed animals for patients at Children’s Mercy. She also was a member of the quilting group and, being a wonderful seamstress, often put quilts together for people. Elnor enjoyed making apple butter with the church family. She was on the Bereavement Committee, helping with church dinners for the families. Elnor loved children and was a wonderful Sunday School teacher, as well as a Cub Scout Den Mother.

Survivors include her children, Ardith Weston and husband Patrick of Houston, Texas, Dennis Seitz of Odessa, Missouri and LaWanda Oswald and husband Michael of Cuba, Missouri; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. 

Mrs. Seitz was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Russell Bergsicker.
