Barbara (Ailor) Redinger

Barbara Fren (Ailor) Redinger of Blue Springs, Missouri formerly of Bates City, MO went to be home with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 28, 2012 while at The Village House John Knox Hospice in Lees Summit. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Plaza Heights Baptist Church, 1500 SW Clark Rd, Blue Springs, MO, 64015, 816-229-4077, Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery in Bates City, MO. Memorials are suggested to the John Knox Village Hospice of Lees Summit or to the Plaza Heights Baptist Church. Condolences may be left for the family at www.ralphojones.com. Arrangements are entrusted to the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home in Odessa, MO. Barbara was born on June 10, 1934 in Bates City, MO to Elmer Franklin and Eva Fern (Drake) Ailor. Her family moved to Wilmington, Illinois and then to Odessa where she graduated from the Odessa High School in 1952. Barbara worked in admitting at Independence Sanitarium and as a clerical worker at Sears where she met her husband, Lester Lee Redinger. They married on April 10, 1955 and moved to Bates City, MO and then to Blue Springs in 1991. Barbara had a catering wagon and served lunches at auctions for 21 years. She retired in 2000. She was a member of Plaza Heights Baptist Church where she volunteered in the church office and sang in the Senior Adult (M&M) Choir for many years. She loved music and had composed her own sheet music. Prior to joining Plaza Heights, Barbara was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Bates City, MO. Barbara is survived by her husband, Lester Lee Redinger; a daughter Dianne Rice; a son, Dwayne Redinger, both of Bates City; two granddaughters, Tara Rice Liebeck of Norfolk, VA and Valerie Redinger Waters of Odessa, MO; two grandsons, Devlin and Gavin Rice of Lexington, MO; Two great-granddaughters, Addison Liebeck and Kate Waters; and a brother, James E. Ailor of Holden, MO. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Wayne Ailor.
