Edward E. Casteel, 75, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Odessa, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held one hour prior, starting at 2:00 p.m. until the service time Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. Edward was born on September 30, 1940 in Independence, MO to Norman Casteel and Rosanna (Reeves) Green. He retired from Martin Foundry in Kansas City, MO. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Edward enjoyed NASCAR, sports and fishing.
Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Casteel of Odessa, MO; three grandchildren, Heather Hough and Fiancé Jeromy Lyman of Odessa, MO, Angela Courtney and husband Steve of Independence, MO and Shawn Carter and wife Amy and family; six great grandchildren, Ava, Gage and Jace Lyman and Braydon, Keaton and Kazlyn Courtney.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin Casteel and Barry Casteel; and a sister Cecelia Casteel.
