EDWARD HENRY LUEHRMAN

April 25, 1925 — December 1, 2014

Edward Henry Luehrman, 89, of Lexington, MO passed away at his home on Monday, December 1, 2014. Edward Luehrman was born April 25, 1925 in Lexington, MO to Henry John Luehrman and Clara Louise Nolting Luehrman. He married Glennis Skidmore May 7, 1950, she preceded him in death in 1976. He later married Vera Morrow Lefholz on July 15, 1977. Ed was the manager for KLEX Radio Station for several years. He was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Free Church in Wellington, MO. Ed had served on the Lafayette County Health Department Board and also as Secretary of the Lexington School Board. Ed was also a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Ed is survived by his wife, Vera Luehrman, of the home. Children: Donald Luehrman (Karen), Olathe, KS, Roger Luehrman (Donna), Warrensburg, MO, Linda Zumalt (Steve), Lexington, Aleen Barker, Lexington, Daniel Lefholz (Marilyn), Lexington, MO, Keenan Lefholz, St. Louis, MO, Julie Riekhof, Lexington, MO. Son-in-law, John Hamann, Shawnee, KS. Daughter-in-law, Nancy Luehrman, Holt Summit, MO and a brother, Richard Luehrman (Aileen), Warrensburg, MO. There are 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard Luehrman, daughter, Sharon Hamann, a son-in-law, Cecil Barker, and a sister, Anna �Lucille� Price. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at St. Luke Evangelical Free Church in Wellington, MO. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lexington, with Military Graveside services. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 5, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO (660) 259-2245 Memorials may be made to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home or St. Luke Evangelical Free Church.
