Edna “Roberta” (Frazier) Vogt, Camden, Mo., formerly of Napoleon, Mo passed away peacefully at her home in Camden surrounded by family on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024. Roberta was born on Dec. 8, 1941, in Sullivan County, MO, the second of five children born to Robert and Lillias Frazier. As a child, the family moved to the state of Washington, then to Idaho, and then back to Missouri at the age of 11.
At the age of 16, Roberta accepted Christ as her Savior at a Youth For Christ Rally in Kansas City in 1957. She was baptized that same year at Maple Park Baptist Church. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1959. She married in 1960 and became mother to six children.
In 1982, Roberta began employment as a Certified Nurses’ Aid, where she impacted countless lives for over 32 years at several local nursing homes, until retiring in 2014. At the age of 59, Roberta met and married the love of her life, Lawrence “Larry” Vogt. They spent almost 17 happy years together, until his passing in 2017.
She was a living testimony to her faith as she shared the good news of the gospel to all who would hear. All who knew her had no doubt of her love for Jesus.
She enjoyed her flowers, working out in the yard, spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Vogt; sister, Delores; brother, Ronald; sons, Robbie and Donnie; son-in-law, Martin; and
granddaughter, Angela. Survivors include sister, Loretta and Dick Karns (Kearney); brother, John Frazier (Loveland, CO); children, Margie Orozco (Camden), Mike and Kathy Suddarth (Lawson), Jean and Darrell Nelson (Orrick), and Bill Suddarth (Camden); 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2024, at the funeral home. Cremation will follow with an Inurnment at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Independence, MO.
