Edith Marie Shipman

Edith M. Shipman, formerly of Lexington, Missouri, passed away at the age of 96 on June 29, 2023 outside Seattle, Washington. She is preceded by husband David E. Shipman and daughter Barbara Shipman, both of Lexington.  She leaves son David W. Shipman, currently residing in Seattle. For many years, Edith served as a third grade teacher at Leslie Bell Elementary School in Lexington. She earned a Masters degree in Education from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Edith was active in the local chapter of PEO. A private funeral will be held with close family members only. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society.
