Drew David Emerson, 34, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at home.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the Lexington United Methodist Church, 1211 S. Bus. Hwy 13, Lexington, MO, 64067. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the church. Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in care of Malia Emerson for Drew’s children’s education fund. Drew was born on February 10, 1989, in Lexington, MO to David Reid and Malia Kay (Wilson) Emerson. He graduated in 2007 from Lexington High School. He earned his Associated Degree from Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington and his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Park University. Drew Co-owned and operated JD’S Professional Tree Service in Lexington with his brother Josh. He attended First Assembly of God Church in Lexington. Drew was known for his talent and giving his time and dedication to others. He loved coaching his boys. Drew coached wrestling and
football for the Minutemen in addition to little league baseball and football. He was a member and President of the Lexington Minutemen Athletic Booster Club, and a member of the Lexington Elk’s Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing cards and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. His dream was to move to the upper peninsula in Michigan to enjoy the beautiful lakes and countryside.
Drew is survived by his four sons, Dustin Christian, Jett Christian, Braxton Emerson, and Madaux Emerson, all of the home; father and mother, David and Malia Emerson of Lexington; two sisters, Stacey Smith and husband Matt of Wellington, MO and Devin Brown and husband Tim of Carrollton, MO; a brother, Josh Emerson and wife Kimberly of Lexington, MO; close family friends, Glen and Debbie Bagley of Lexington, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Drew was preceded in death by the love of his life, Jaclyn Farmer in April of 2023; paternal grandparents, Dana and Joyce Emerson; and maternal grandparents, Bob and Barbara Wilson.
