Dorothy Templeton Wallace Dorothy Templeton Wallace, 92, of Lexington, MO passed away March 25, 2015 at Riverbend Heights Health and Rehabilitation. Dorothy was born May 10, 1922 in Hardin, Mo to William and Elsa (Pesel) Templeton. She married William (Bill) Wallace on December 25, 1942. Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church, Lexington, MO. She taught Sunday School for 48 years and helped in Bible School many years. She was a member of Dorcus/Downing Ladies group, and a helper on Sunday mornings at Lexington Care Center church services. Dorothy and Bill delivered meals for the Senior Center. She was a member of Lafayette Regional Health Center Auxiliary since 1985 and was named Volunteer of the Year in 2004. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and also helped at the Lexington Clothes Closet. Dorothy is survived by children: Julia and Dan Hawkins and Catherine and Dennis Stoll, all of Higginsville and Paul and Cara Wallace, Lexington. There are seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Rose Easton of Joplin and Ruth Cash of Basehor, KS. Two sisters-in-law, Mary Wallace and Myrna Wallace of Lexington. There are numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents, two sisters and one brother. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Lexington. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund or to the Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer Scholarship Fund.
