PHILLIP EUGENE AICHELE

Phillip Eugene Aichele, 71, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Golden Living Center-New Haven in Odessa, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Odessa, MO with Reverend Larry Neil and Matthew Aichele officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Phillip was born on September 28, 1941 to Herbert and Mamie (Suddheimer) Aichele in Kansas City, Kansas. On June 17, 1967 Phillip was united in marriage to Sharon Jean Brisbin who survives of the home. He and Sharon are members of the Calvary Baptist Church. Phillip was ordained as deacon at Calvary Baptist Church on May 18, 1986. The "Rest Stop" ministry was started in May, 1987 and the "Truck Stop" ministry was started in February, 1997. Phillip was active in each of these ministries and recorded services and delivered tapes to shut-ins until his health dictated him to stop. He worked as a custodian for the Odessa School system at the McQuary building for 15 years and then had worked for another 15 years as a custodian for the Ray Town City Hall before retiring. He was loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. In addition to his wife, Phillip is survived by a two children, Amy Seward and husband David of Odessa, MO and Matthew Aichele and wife Terri of Minot, North Dakota; a granddaughter, Bitha Seward of Odessa, MO; three brothers, Fred Aichele, Jerry Aichele and James Aichele; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Lee Aichele and a sister Joyce Reynolds.
