Doris Jean Jewett, 64, of Lexington, MO passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services for Doris Jean will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO (660) 259-2245. Burial will be in the Wellington City Cemetery, Wellington, MO. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 2 at the funeral home.

Doris Jean Bartlett was born January 3, 1952 in Compton, Arkansas, the daughter of Ernie and Inez Christene Armer Bartlett. She married Fred Jewett, Jr. on April 29, 1972. Doris Jean was an Assistant Manager for Walmart. She was Pentecostal by faith. Doris Jean made her own jewelry and other crafts.

Doris Jean is survived by her children: Christine Brown and husband, Scott, of Lexington and Michela Leibold and husband, Randy , of Montrose, MO. a step-son, Terry Jewett, Eudora, KS. Her mother, Inez Bartlett of Harrisonville, MO. Sisters: Charlene Haile and Kathy McCauley both of Pleasant Hill, MO. A half-brother: Devoe Woodworth, of Arkansas. Two grandchildren: Chassidy Ryles and Dalton Brown She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, on May 22, 2009, her father, and a brother, DeWayne Bartlett.
