Donna Jean Schwartz, 76, of Odessa, MO passed away August 28, 2021 at her home in Odessa, MO.
Visitation will be Friday, September 3, 2021 from 2:00 until 4:00pm at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Friday at the funeral home at 4:00pm. Private family burial will follow. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the family in care of Natalie Shackleton. Donna was born August 17, 1945 in Napoleon, Missouri to William Lee Rodenberg and Esther Lee Brockmeyer (Murry). She united in marriage to Gary Schwartz December 14, 1963 in Napoleon, MO. They later divorced and remained friends. Donna worked as an arbitrator and customer service representative for the Better Business Bureau for 15 years. Her dog, Little Bit, was her comforting companion. She attended Unity Village Church in Lee’s Summit, MO. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors include her daughter, Natalie Shackleton, and her son, Nathan D Schwartz; two grandchildren Nathan D Schwartz II and Jakob B Shackleton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters, Betty Popejoy and Shirley Barker.
