Donna Lou (Hoeppner) Cobb, 80, of Lexington, Missouri passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at New Mark Rehabilitation Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
A Visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm., Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Trinity United Church-Christ 1312 Franklin Ave. Lexington, MO 64067. A funeral service will follow at the church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Church of Christ. Donna was born October 26, 1944, in Lexington, Missouri to Wesley and Freda (Jaspering) Hoeppner. In 1962, she graduated from Lexington High School. Donna continued her education with agricultural classes to manage and help run her family's farm. She worked with Lloyd Hyatt at the Little Shoppe in Lexington, creating and designing custom draperies for many of the beautiful antebellum homes in Lexington. She later worked as a Supervisor for many years at S&K Industries (Remington), and worked for the State of Missouri Habilitation Center. Donna was an active member, Sunday School Teacher, and worked with the youth at Trinity United Church of Christ, volunteered with the PTA in Lexington, and she loved coordinating parties and activities for the classes at Leslie Bell Elementary School. Donna was a Project Leader in multiple areas of learning for the Fairview 4-H Club for over 9 years.
Donna is survived by two children, Gregory (Shannon) Cobb of Lexington, MO and Jennifer (Walter) Strobel of Kansas City, MO; one grandchild, Isabella Dorrine Strobel of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Geraldine Hendrix and Marilyn Kroge; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Hoeppner; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by both her parents, her twin brother, David L. Hoeppner, sister, Janice Soendker, nephew, Lance Soendker, brother, WC Hoeppner, Jr., three brothers-in-law, Bob Hendrix, Quenton Kroge, and Delbert Soendker.
