Donald Edward Spease, 81 of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.

A private family inurnment will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Friends may call or stop by the funeral home from the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020 to sign the register book. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association. Donald was born on April 6, 1939 in Lexington, MO to Roscoe and Opal (Bush) Spease. He graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, MO. On September 11, 1964 he married Sandy Ann (Gasperino) Spease in Lexington, MO. Donald farmed for several years, while farming he also worked as an insurance agent for Ozark National Life Insurance Co. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier working in several surrounding communities. After retirement, Donald enjoyed driving the Head Start bus for the Ray Co. Transportation Co.. He was a member of the Lexington Turner Society, the National Young Farmers Coalition, and the Jaycees. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Donald enjoyed reading, watching NASCAR, attending local racing events, and going to the Big Creek Show Place.

Donald is survived by his wife, Sandy Spease, of Lexington, MO; two children, Brian Spease of Independence, MO and Vanessa Summerlin of Lexington, MO; three grandchildren, Heather Wood, Aaron Spease and wife Haley, and Michael Summerlin; a great-granddaughter, Nellie Spease; two brothers, Larry and Kenny; three sisters, Shirley, Georgia and Linda; and many nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
