Desimund Eugene Star, 50, of Lexington passed away July 13, 2020 at Truman Medical Center, Kansas City. Cremation has been entrusted to Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South Street, Lexington, MO 64067, 660-259-2245. Desimund was born October 26, 1969 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Willie James Star, Jr. and Ethelyn Lee (Moss) Taylor. He earned is GED and was interested in studying law. He took law classes at National American University and attended Wentworth Military Academy. He married Amy Renee (Wood) Star September 6, 2014. Desimund enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and joking around.
Survivors include his mother of Lexington; his wife Amy Star of Warrensburg; children, Cheyenne Star, Katelyn Terry of Warrensburg, Madison Terry of Overland Park, Kansas and Caleb Terry of Warrensburg; brothers, John Taylor of Lexington, Lavell Moss of Lexington, Benny Moss of Lexington, Keith Star of Little Rock and Kevin Star of Little Rock; sisters, Deborah Star of Oak Grove and Ida Ray of St. Louis; and three grandchildren, MaJen, Tia, and Tarajia Star, with one on the way; mother of Cheyenne, Sheli Nelson of Excelsior Springs, MO; Cheyenne’s sister, Vanidee Stollenwerk of Kansas City, MO.
Desimund was preceded in death by his father, Willie James, Star, Sr.; his stepfather, John Taylor grandparents, Willie James Star, Sr., Jewel “Big Mama” Lee Gilcrease, Addie Johnson and Leroy Moss, and a very special dad, Bill Wrisinger and his wife Pam.
