Dennis Eugene Campbell

Dennis Eugene Campbell, age 65 of Kansas City, MO formerly of Odessa made his final journey on Friday May 21, 2021 at his home in K.C., MO surrounded by those who loved him. Dennis was born April 16, 1956 as the third of five children to Kenneth M and Betty (Bedwell) Campbell.
Dennis attended 12 years of school at Odessa, MO, graduating with the class of 1974. He then attended college at CMSU, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
Dennis was employed by DeVry University and Weld Wheels before being diagnosed with a brain tumor in November of 1996. After his diagnosis he gave back by volunteering at The City Union Mission, The Bridge (a boy’s home), Starlight Theater and the Folly Theater.
Dennis was an avid “World of Outlaws” car racing fan and traveled throughout the United States to watch the races and socialize with the race car drivers. Often taking nephews, brothers, cousins, or friends with him.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Betty Campbell, two brothers, Kenny and Danny Campbell, as well as a nephew Kenneth Scott Campbell. He is survived by his sister Janet Warren and husband Cuba of Warsaw, MO, brother Kevin Campbell and wife Susie of Odessa, MO, sister-in-law Glenda Campbell of Columbia, MO and nine nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, Thursday, May 27, 2021at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church 12538 Mount Tabor Rd, Odessa, MO, 64076.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm at the church. Interment will follow at Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Mt Tabor United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
