Delbert Wayne Pallette, 60, of Warsaw, Missouri formerly of Odessa, MO passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 in Topeka, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc., P.O. Box 695, LaPlata, MD 20646. Pallbearers will be Jerry Baker, David DeCamp, Austin Nutt, Jeremy Silvey, Darin McCarthy, Darrin Lamb, Russell Dent and John Durham.
Delbert was born on October 30, 1958 in Lexington, MO to Jesse “Bud” and Martina (Dittmer) Pallette. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1977. On November 20, 1978 he married Stephanie Joanne (Dent) Pallette in Miami, Oklahoma. Delbert retired from the City of Odessa Water Department in 2017 after 38 years of service. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Odessa and the Bassmaster Club. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Delbert enjoyed fishing, woodworking and NHRA.
Survivors include wife, Stephanie Pallette of Warsaw, MO; Delbert’s father, Jesse “Bud” Pallette of Odessa, MO; two children, Shane Pallette and fiancée Liz Pauley of Lee’s Summit, MO and Jessica Douglas and fiancé Jeremy Silvey of Warsaw, MO; five grandchildren, Brenna Pallette, Isabelle Pallette, Brent Johnston, Grayden Silvey and Adrian Silvey; a sister, Linda Nutt and husband Benny of Kansas City, MO and many nieces and nephews.
Delbert was preceded in death by his mother, Martina Pallette; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Dent and a niece, Rachel Dent.
