Deborah C. Morrison, 64, of Buckner, MO passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO. Services for Debbie will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO (660) 259-2245. Inurnment will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 17 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to, Wayside Waifs, Great Plains SPCA, or the American Diabetes Association.
Deborah Trent was born January 7, 1951 in Lexington, to Donald P. and Claudine Howell Trent. She married John William (Bill) Morrison, III, June 29, 1973 in Lexington. Debbie graduated from Lexington High School in 1969 and continued her education at the University of Missouri, Columbia, graduating in 1973 with a B.S. in Education. She later continued her education at the University of Central Missouri and received a B.S. in Nursing in 1987.
Debbie started her teaching career at Hall McCarter Junior High School in Blue Springs, MO. She then worked at the Lexington B & L, and then began working for Lexington EMS, then moved to Lafayette Regional Health Center and to St. Mary’s Hospital. She then went to Life Flight Eagle and St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Bill Morrison, of the home. A sister, Donna Harmon and husband, Gary. A brother, J. Paul Trent and wife, Carita. Sisters-in-law, Patt Lewis and Carol Morrison. Nieces: Nikki Kennedy and Brooke Trent. Nephews: Bryan Lewis, Austin Trent, and Spencer Trent. Aunt and Uncle, Linda and George Giblin. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents.
