David Len Scott, 65, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away December 29, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.

 

Visitation will be held from 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 100 West Highway OO, Odessa, Missouri 64076. Funeral services will follow at 12:00p.m., at the church. Interment will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Odessa, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church or American Heart Association. Memories of David and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page. David was born December 14, 1957, in Odessa, Missouri, to Leonard and Dixie Lee (Filler) Scott. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1976. After graduation, David served in the United States Air Force. David married Dora “Kathy” Bradley on May 18, 1984. She preceded him in death on October 10, 2014. David worked for Dupont for 26 years as a Chemical Operator and retired in 2014. After retirement, David moved back to Missouri from Texas. He became engaged to his fiancée Brenda Kay Crawford. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Odessa, Missouri. David was an honorary member of the chemical workers union. David loved traveling, fishing, watching old movies, cooking, but most of all, he loved his family, friends, and two dogs.  

 

David is survived by his fiancée, Brenda Kay Crawford of Odessa, Missouri; four children, Joshua Lester of Odessa, Missouri, Jonathan Scott (Rachel) of Wichita Falls, Texas, Cassandra Sandy Schmidt (Jerry) of Portland, Maine, Bradley Lester of Austin, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.   

 

David was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lori Glockengeiser; a brother, Gary Allen Scott, and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Lester.
