David Fredrick Nolte

David Fredrick Nolte, 87 of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Ashton Court Care Center in Liberty, MO.

A graveside memorial service with military rites will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2019 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, 20109 E. Hwy 13, Higginsville, MO, 64037. Memorials are suggested to the Zion United Church of Christ or the American Legion Post 223. David was born on May 31, 1932 in Higginsville, MO to August William and Esther (Knollenberg) Nolte. He graduated from Mayview High School in Mayview, MO. After high school he attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO and earned a double bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Agricultural Engineering. After college he was drafted into the U.S. Army. David worked for the Soil Conservation Service in Washington D.C. then moved to engineering private practice in Missouri, California and contractors in Iran. Finally he returned to civil service for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in New Mexico, Oklahoma and North Dakota. On December 29, 1985 David married Annabelle Beymer in Ft. Yates, North Dakota. David retired from Civil Engineering. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife Annabelle Beymer of Blue Springs, MO; one brother, Byron Nolte and wife Ardith of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Juanita Wright of Mayview, MO and Catherine Ennis and husband Larry of King, North Carolina; two sisters-in-laws, Laura Nolte of Higginsville, MO and Freddy Nolte of Allen Park, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by six brothers, Forest Nolte, Albert Nolte, Roger Nolte, Aubrey Nolte, Howard Nolte and Gene Nolte; and one sister, Anna Mary Schmidt.
