David Gene David, 79, of Osceola, Missouri passed away on Tuesday May 10, 2016 at the Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, MO.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday May 16, 2016 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, 20109 Bus Hwy 13, Higginsville, MO, 64037. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO 64076, 816-633-5524. David was born on July 11, 1936 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Troy LeRoy and Fern Inez (Ferguson) David. He graduated from Chanute High School in Chanute, Kansas. David was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served from 1959 until being honorably discharged in 1965. He married Barbara Truitt Fossati and they later divorced. He then married Barbara Pearson and they later divorced. He was Methodist by faith. After 30 plus years David retired as a Cabinet Installer from Miller Manufacturing in Appleton City, MO. He was a member of the Freedom of Road Riders local 3 Truman Lake. In addition to spending time with his family and friends he enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events and taking care of his yard.

Survivors include three children, Mike David of Kansas City, MO, Mitch David and wife Cynthia of Overland Park, KS and Brad David and wife Shena of Grain Valley, MO; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Modina Allen and husband Barney of Ardmore, OK, and Carol Johnson and husband Kenny of Eldorado, KS; a very good friend Ray Burns and wife Darla of Osceola, MO and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry David and a sister Louwena Brewer.
