Danny Mack Freeman, 67, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Shangri-La Rehab and Living Center in Blue Springs, MO surrounded by family.

 

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524.  A funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Greenton Cemetery in Odessa, MO.  Memorials are suggested to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.  Memories of Danny and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.  A dinner will follow the interment at Faith & Christ Fellowship Church, 101 SW 21st St, Oak Grove, MO, 64075.

 

Danny was born on January 27, 1955, in Fanshawe, Oklahoma to Glenroe and Vera Inez (Newby) Freeman.  After receiving his high school diploma, he attended junior college and received an associates degree.  Danny and his brother owned and operated American Painting Co. and then worked for Hawpe Construction for many years.  They traveled the United States and worked on military bases around the country. On October 1, 2011, Danny was united in marriage to Ellen (Cox) Rakestraw in Odessa, MO.  While Danny lived in Oklahoma, he was a Minister.  He attended Faith in Christ Fellowship in Oak Grove, MO.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Danny enjoyed his children, grandchildren, karaoke, golfing, going to the casino, and traveling, especially to Alabama.

 

Survivors include his wife Ellen Freeman of Odessa, MO; three children, Kristen Freeman of Derwood, Maryland, Lee Harrison of Odessa, MO, and Veronica Ferrell and husband Nicholas of Grain Valley, MO; six grandchildren, Shayla Harrison, Abby Harrison, Ashly Harrison, Drake Ferrell, Carissa Ferrell, and Dee Dee Brinkley; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Perry, Bentley Ferrell-Miller, and Athena Vanderheide; one sister, Joyce Freeman Keiffer of Midwest City, Ok, Jackey Freeman and wife Gayle of Noble, OK, and Roger Freeman of Byron, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenroe Freeman, Jr., and Johnny Freeman.
