Dan Albert Wilson

Dan Albert Wilson, 84, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by his family. 

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Ralph O. Dan was born on August 22, 1939, in Odessa, Missouri to John and Edna Mae (Stapleton) Wilson.  He graduated from Wellington High School in Wellington, MO.   Dan was a Veteran of the United States Army.  On September 1, 1962, he was united in marriage to Adela L. Hurst in Flippin, Arkansas.  She preceded him in death on May 19, 2018.  Dan worked as a mechanic for Allis-Chalmers before joining and retiring from the Heavy Construction Laborers, Local 663 in Kansas City, MO.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Dan enjoyed working on small engines, fishing, deer hunting, bird watching, and just being outdoors.  

Dan is survived by his two children; a daughter, Aimee Batson and partner Shari Center of Overland Park, Kansas; and a son, Travis Wilson of Odessa, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.    

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
