Cynthia Lee Martin

Cynthia Lee (Franklin) Martin, 85, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at St. Mary’s Medical Clinic in Blue Springs, Missouri.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Greenton Baptist Church, 9345 Greenton Road, Odessa, Missouri 64076. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held Greenton Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to Greenton Baptist Church. Cynthia was born October 28, 1937 in Rockford, Illinois to William and Birdie Clyda (Wilson) Franklin. She graduated from Raytown High School. Cynthia owned and operated Trophies Unlimited in Blue Springs, MO for 30 years. Cynthia and Marvin were united in marriage on November 1, 1958, in Raytown, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 5, 2018. Cynthia was a member of Greenton Baptist Church. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Cynthia enjoyed gardening, reading books, cross stitching, but most of all she loved her grandchildren.   

Cynthia is survived by her two sons, Stephen Martin and wife Sara of Blue Springs, Missouri and Greg Martin and wife Dawna of Odessa, Missouri; four grandchildren, Joshua and Nathaniel Martin and Leslie and Doug Long; and many relatives and friends.

Cynthia was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother, William K. Franklin.
