Cynthia Jo Hiles, age 64, of Bates City, passed away on August 10, 2023, after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Cindy was born on November 12, 1958, to Pebble Murray (Kinney) in Harrisonville, MO.
Cindy and Ralph (Bill) William Hiles began dating nearly 50 years ago and wed shortly after high school graduation. The two were married for 46 years and were loving parents to Nicholas and Thomas Hiles.
Cindy worked at Lake City Ammunition Plant for 37 years until she retired in 2020. She lived a life of learning that continued into her retirement. From gardening and raising goats to photography, Cindy loved mastering new skills and sharing her talents with others.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, Nick and Tom (Catherine); grandchildren, Charlotte and Henry; mother, Pebble Murray; siblings, Doug (Yvette) Kinney, Debbie (Bruce) Whitsitt, and Claude (Jessica) Kinney along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A visitation will be held at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home 306 South Second Street Odessa, Missouri 64076 (816) 633-5524 on Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by a private family graveside service at Bates City Cemetery.
