Corey Eugene Carr

Corey Eugene Carr, 29, of Kansas City, passed away January 6, 2019 at his home. Funeral service will be Friday, January 11, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, Odessa, Missouri. Visitation will also be on Friday at the funeral home, from 12:00 until 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Greenton Cemetery, Odessa, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Colon Cancer Research or Park Hill Youth Wrestling.

Corey was born January 20, 1989 in Kansas City, Kansas to Kevin Carr and Lesa Hayes. Corey attended Park Hill High School where he was a state champion wrestler. He then received a full ride scholarship to Missouri Valley College. Corey loved his family, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, enjoyed traveling and drawing, and coached youth wrestling.

Corey is survived by his parents, Lesa Hayes of Kansas City, Missouri and Kevin Carr of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; fiancee, Monica Witherspoon of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Ales Lavon Carr and Hope Arielle Lynn Carr of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces, Sela Weiland and Sophia Green; nephews, Carter Carr and Taylor Fitzgerald; grandfathers Micahel Shaver of Northmoor, Missouri and Charles Hayes of Raymoore, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Linda McGill.
