Edith L. Helphrey (Watt) Craft, 81, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Research Medical Center, VITAS Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, (816) 633-5524. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the McKendree Cemetery south of Odessa. www.ralphojones.com. Edith was born on August 16, 1931 to Walton and Ernestine (Barnett) Helphrey. After college she worked at the Lake City Ammunitions. On May 20, 1953 she married Gavin Watt in Odessa, MO. She was a Methodist by faith. She loved Royals Baseball. Survivors include two children, James G. Watt and wife, Pamela, Cincinnati, Ohio and Michael I. Watt and Tracey Munkers, Independence, MO; three grandchildren, Ashley Watt and fianc� Keith Lakes, Gavin Watt, and Shanna Turner and four great grandchildrens; three brothers, Donald Helphrey of Odessa, MO, Howard Helphrey of Odessa, MO and Dale Helphrey of San Bernadino, California; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Cathy Jo Watt and Gregory W. Watt.
