Cleta Margaret Saylor

Cleta Margaret (Rivers) Saylor, 97, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, Missouri. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., October 21, 2024, at Bates City Cemetery in Bates City, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to Bates City Cemetery. Cleta was born December 13, 1926, in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert L. and Delma (McCormick) Rivers. In 1945, she graduated from Bates City High School. Cleta retired in 1984, from working at Lake City Ammunition as an assembly line worker. On March 3, 1946, Cleta was united in marriage to Roy LaVern Saylor in Wiggins, Colorado. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2016. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Odessa. Cleta was a devoted snowbird who found joy in traveling to Texas during the winter and delight in exploring new destinations through cruises and traveling across the states. Her love for family and friends was ever-present, and her kind and compassionate spirit touched the lives of many.

Cleta is survived by her extended family, Jesse and Bonita Stever of Odessa, MO; and many other relatives and friends. 

Cleta was preceded in death by both her parents and husband.
