Clara Ellen (Shumaker) Frank, 97, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Oak Grove Nursing and Rehab.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Tawas City, Michigan.
Clara was born on December 26, 1923 in Eaton Township in Eaton County, Michigan to Ralph Perry and Celia (Edick) Shumaker. She was a graduate from Charlotte High School in Charlotte, MI. Clara was united in marriage to Roland C. Frank on March 22, 1952 in Tawas City, MI. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2002. Clara worked several jobs as a clerk, typist, and bookkeeper in Charlotte, Marshall, and Olivet, MI and Odessa, MO, retiring in 1985. She was an active member of the Community of Christ Church in Odessa, MO. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Clara enjoyed gardening, baking, and reading.
Survivors include a son, Mark Kevin Frank and wife Heather of Oak Grove, MO; two daughters, Shelly Denise Frank and Ret. Sgt. 1st Class, Rolana Ellen Frank both of Killeen, TX; two grandchildren, Briana and Aaron Frank; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Clara was preceded in death by six brothers, Arlo, Harley, Orland, Dale, Lowell, and Gale Shumaker; and four sisters, Effie Dillon, Ila Klaiss, Lila Carroll, and Velma Janousek.
