Charlotte M. Barker, 72, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit, MO surrounded by family. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Greenton Cemetery with Pastor Bobbie Stone officiating. Burial will be in the Greenton Cemetery. www.ralphojones.com or on our Facebook Page. Charlotte was born on February 18, 1942 in Fullerton California to Ira Marcell Williams and Helen Ruth (Budde) Denney. She graduated from Higginsville High School in Higginsville, MO. She sold Avon and was a homemaker taking care of her family. On October 5, 1968 she was united in marriage to Joe David Barker, Jr. who survives of the home. She is a member of the Long Branch Baptist Church. She loved gardening, collecting different things and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Charlotte is survived by four children, Cletus Lichte of Kansas City, MO, Shawn Lichte of Warrensburg, MO, Joanna Helphrey of Odessa, MO and Jennifer Strodtman and husband Kenny of Salisbury, MO; five grandchildren, Alyssa Lichte, Christina Pennell, Summer Helphrey, MacKenzie Strodtman and MaKayla Strodtman; four great grandchildren, Pierce King, Calli King, Asia Pennell and Trinity Pennell.
