Charles Lowell Spencer, 85, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the St. Luke Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Odessa Cemetery in Odessa, Missouri. Burial with military rites will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Charles was born on October 29, 1930 in Clarence, MO to Joseph W. and Alta L. (Castler) Spencer. He graduated from Clarence High School in 1948. After high school he attended Cleveland Chiropractic School. He married Mable Arlene (Bybee) Spencer on December 20, 1952 at Lowell Airforce Base in Colorado. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Charles retired from Armco Steel after 34 years as a Supervisor. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. In addition to spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed hunting and traveling.

In addition to his wife Mable, Charles is survived by two children, David Spencer and wife Carole of Independence, MO and Donna Mitchell and husband Rubin of Holt, MO; one grandchild, Ashley Maxwell; two great grandchildren, Cooper David Maxwell and Ava Rose Maxwell; one brother, Randall Spencer and wife Gertrude of Lexington, Kentucky; one sister, Maranelle Jarboe and husband Robert of Clarence, MO, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Fred Spencer; and a sister, Marge Pontius.
