Charles Lewis Burch Charles Lewis Burch, 85, of Lexington, MO passed away June 16, 2010 at his home. Charles Lewis Burch was born July 20, 1924 in Ranger, TX to Lewis Lee and Myrtle Mae Cadenhead Burch. He worked as a cement finisher. Charles was inducted into the U. S. Army on April 14, 1943 and served until October 14, 1945. He achieved the rank of PFC in the Infantry and served as a cannoneer in the Southern Philippines and Northern Solomons. He reenlisted on November 19, 1947 for an additional five years. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Bernard Burch, and sisters Joyce, Bobbi, Vergie, and Thelma. Charles is survived by five sons, Chuck (Suzanne) Burch of Washington, Dale Burch of Lexington, Scott (Michelle) Burch of Hamilton, MO, Joe (Nancy) Burch of Richmond, MO, and David (Robin) Burch of Willard, MO, three daughters, Pam (Ray) Lobato of Jackson, CA, Diana (George) Bowman of Wood Heights, MO, and Susan (Stacy) McIntyre of Buckner, MO. Twenty-four grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be Sunday, June 20, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO (660-259-2245). Funeral services will be Monday, June 21, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville, MO.
