Funeral Services for Rufus Jack Kelly, Jr., 87, of Blue Springs, MO will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Ralph O Jones Funeral Home, Odessa. Visitation will be on Monday, April 16, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Step Out for Diabetes program. Burial will be in the Greenton Cemetery, rural Odessa with military rites. Mr. Kelly died on Friday, at St. Marys Hospital, Blue Springs. Rufus Jack Kelly, Jr. was born on June 24, 1924 to Rufus H. and Florence Wilson Kelly at Freeman, MO. Mr. Kelly was a 1942 graduate of Odessa High School. Mr. Kelly was a career Navy officer and worked as a building maintenance engineer for the State of Missouri in Kansas City until his retirement.. Jack married Frances V. Chenault Graves on January 7, 1958 in Aurora, Illinois, she preceded him in death. Survivors include: a daughter, Toni Hill, Blue Springs, MO, a son, John Graves and wife Betty, Killin, AL. There are 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, Bracken Graves and his sister, June Bowlin.
