Charles Edward Hussey, 44, Odessa, Missouri passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at home.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd st., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday March 23, 2018 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 20109 Bus. Hwy. 13, Higginsville, MO 64037. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggest to Charles’s grandchildren’s education fund in care of Teresa Hussey. Charles was born on July 11, 1973 in Kansas City, MO to Chuck and Linda (Sowers) Hussey. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1992. After high school Charles enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served from July 16, 1992 until being honorably discharged on July 15, 1996. During that time Charles received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal (with 1 Star), Rifle Expert Badge, Pistol Expert Badge (3rd Award), Overseas Ribbon, Seal Service Deployment Ribbon, Letter of Appreciation (5th Award). On May 24, 2003 he married Teresa Ann Hussey in Odessa, MO who survives of the home. Charles worked for Honeywell FM&T in Kansas City, MO as a Toolmaker. He was a member of the IAMAW-Local Lodge 778 in Kansas City, MO and the NRA. He was Baptist by faith. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, but most of all the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include Charles wife, Teresa Ann Hussey; a daughter, Victoria Barker and husband Brian; three grandchildren, Jenna, Brock and Collin, all of Odessa, MO; his mother Linda (Sowers) Ginnings of Louisburg, MO; a brother James Hussey and wife Megan of Camdenton, MO; a sister, Linda Patton and husband Darrel of Springfield, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Hussey.
