Charles “Bus” Beemer, 87, of Higginsville, MO formerly of Centerview, MO passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, MO.

Charles was born on May 21, 1929 in Rosalie, Nebraska to Leslie Frank and Bessie (Taylor) Beemer. He graduated in 1948 from Greenridge High School in Greenridge, MO. Charles served in the United States Army from 1953 until he was Honorably Discharged in 1955. On March 13, 1960 he married Alice A. (Sherman) Beemer in Kansas City, MO. Charles retired after 34 years from Honeywell where he was a Machinist. In addition to working at Honeywell, Charles also farmed. He was a member of the Countryside Church of the Nazarene in Columbus, MO. Music was a big part of Charles life, he played many instruments, but mostly the guitar. He loved country gospel and could bring a smile to anyone’s face. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Charles enjoyed music, telling a good joke, being outdoors, and anything to do with sports.
In addition to his wife Alice, Charles is survived by three children, Dennis Beemer of Centerview, MO, Diane Brown of St. Louis, MO and Daren Beemer of Avalon, TX; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, one brother, Ivan Beemer and wife Judy of Shawnee Mission, KS; two sisters, Irene Lofdahl of Omaha, NE and LaVonna Pfaff of Raymore, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
