Catherine Della Royeton

Catherine Della (Ethington) Royeton, 88, of Odessa, Missouri formerly of Eldon, Missouri passed away Friday, January 27, 2023, at New Haven Living Center in Odessa, MO.

Visitation will be held from 2:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 South 2^nd Street., Odessa, MO 64076. 816-633-5525. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00p.m., on Friday February 3, 2023, at the funeral home. Catherine was born April 2, 1934, to Troy Mann and Eula Eileen (Cauthon) Ethington. Catherine graduated from CMSU in Warrensburg with her master’s degree in education. She worked for Miller County R-III School District in Tuscumbia, MO and Eldon High School of Eldon, MO for 20 years. James Keith Royeton and Catherine were united in marriage on April 6, 1955. He preceded her in death. Catherine was a member of St. George Catholic Church. Catherine was a member of the MSTA (Missouri State Teachers Associates) and Friends of the Library. Along with spending time with family and friends, Catherine enjoyed reading, listening to classic rock, painting, gardening and ceramics.   

Catherine is survived by her children, James K. Royeton and wife Patricia of Mayview, MO and Cathy Ann Cooper; eight grandchildren, Eric James Royeton, Ciara Nichole Royeton, Michael Royeton, Sean Royeton, Melanie Emma Roark, Joshua Royeton, Bryan Bond, and James Bond; many great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.   

In addition to her parents and husband, Catherine was preceded in death by, a son, John Keith Royeton; a sister, Dorothy Garmon, two brothers, John Ethington, and Troy “Buddy” Ethington.
