Catherine "Kay" Lorantos

Catherine Jane �Kay� Lorantos, 74, of Lexington, MO passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Lexington Care Center. Catherine Jane Abbott was born Jun 13, 1937 in Lexington, MO, to Albert W. and Lela Kathryn McCorkindal Abbott. Kay married James Lorantos and co-owned The Modern Caf� with the Lorantos family. Kay is survived by a daughter, Tish Wallace and friend Bill Engelhardt, of Lexington. A step-son, Jimmie �Sam� Lorantos and wife, Diane, Jacksonville, Fl. Two grandsons, Anthony �Tony� Wallace, Rifle, CO and Jeramie Wallace, Lawson, MO. A brother, Jerry Abbott, Lexington, and a sister, Lois Wood, Lexington. There are 2 step-grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, a grandson, Daniel Wallace, brothers, Irvin Abbott and J. C. McCorkindale; and sisters, Lorene �Vi� Frizzell and Shirley Davis. Services will be 7:30 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO. Burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lexington First Presbyterian Church.
