Carolyn Norena White

Carolyn Norena (Culver) White, 84, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 am on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 South 2^nd Street. Odessa, MO 64076. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at 1:00 pm at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Memorials are suggested to the Red Hat Society or VFW Axillary. Carolyn was born June 24, 1939, in Wheaton, MO, to Kenneth and Vera (Hardy) Culver. She graduated from Monett High School. Carolyn worked both for Lyons Dye Casketing and part time at Blue Springs school district. Carolyn was united in marriage on December 2, 1961, to William “Bill” Scott White in Flint, MI. He preceded her in death on August 8, 2004.  She was a Christian by faith. Carolyn was an active member of the Red Hat Society and VFW Axillary. Carolyn enjoyed the outdoors, from being at the lake, to boating, to fishing to shooting. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially during the fourth of July.     

Carolyn is survived by one son; Lonnie White of Camdenton, MO; four grandchildren, Ryan White, Shane White, Bradley Isetts, Aric Kerr; two step-grandchildren, John Bills and DeAnna Hurst; three great-grandchildren, Carter Kerr, Maddox Kerr, and Parker Kerr; two step-great-grandchildren, Owen Hurst and Madeline Hurst; one sister, Margie Henderson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Along with both her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by a son, Bruce White; two brothers, Eugene Culver and John Culver; three sisters, Verla Osterloh, Evelyn Wilkening, and Marolyn McCracken.
