Carol Elaine Wingate

Carol Elaine Wingate, 82, of Higginsville, passed away March 1, 2020 at her home. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will also be on Thursday at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery. Carol was born May 4, 1937 in Oak Grove to Theodore and Ruby (Roemmick) Rustman. She graduated from Wellington High School in 1954. Carol worked as a legal secretary and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.



Carol is survived by her longtime companion, Kent Wingate, of Higginsville, MO; children, Kent Emison and wife Robin of Higginsville, Kevin Emison and wife Julie of Mason, Michigan and Kelly Bryden and husband John of Shawnee, Kansas; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Rustman and Ruby Rustman; a brother, Delbert Rustman and sister, Evelyn Curtner.
