Carol Jo Weeks, 63, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO.
Memorial services will be 6 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Lexington, MO. No visitation. There will be a reception in the Church Fellowship hall

Carol Jo Day was born October 23, 1952 in Lexington, MO, the daughter of Kenneth Glenn Day, Sr. and Josephine Howard Day. She married Don Weeks. Carol has worked in the health care field all of her adult life. She worked at the Lexington Hospital, as a home health nurse in the Lafayette County area, and her last job was as a Registered Nurse at North Kansas City Hospital.
Carol is survived by her husband, Don, of the home. A daughter, Amie Jo Weeks, Higginsville, MO. A brother, Daniel Lee Day, Lexington. Sisters: Theresa K. Barger and Jennifer L. Coleman and husband, Neil, all of Texas. Grandchildren: Jonathon Tripp, Sabrina Tripp, Justin Weeks, Matthew Weeks, and Mariah Galloway. A step-son, Brian Weeks. There are four great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Ann Gadde, on September 21, 1971, her parents, and a brother, Kenneth Glenn Day, Jr.
