Carol Diane King

Carol Diane (Jenkins) King, 75 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2^nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2023, at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Greenton Cemetery in Odessa.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Toni Skelton.  Memories of Carol and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page. 

Carol was born November 26, 1947, in Lexington, Missouri to Rollie “Mike” H. and Glenna M. (Orndoff) Jenkins.  She graduated in 1965 from Odessa High School.  After high school Carol earned a degree in Cosmetology while attending Cosmetology School in Independence.  For 57 years Carol worked as a beautician in the Odessa, Oak Grove, and Independence areas. On July 7, 1982, Carol was united in marriage to Larry King. They later divorced but remained very close friends throughout the years. She was a member of the Odessa VFW Post 5675 Auxiliary, Square Dancing Club, and the Weaver Club.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Carol was faithful in attending the Big Creek Country Show every Saturday night in Pleasant Hill and monthly dances all around the KC Metro.  She also loved to spend time at the Lake of Ozarks and watching her grandkids at sporting events. 

Carol is survived by her two children, Todd Jenkins and significant other Kathy Krumsiek of Slater, MO and Toni Skelton and significant other Tony Wallace of Prairie Village, KS; four grandchildren, Alex Jenkins, Nick Jenkins, Madison Skelton, and Bronson Skelton; three great-grandchildren, Cloe Jenkins, Sebatian Jenkins, and Harvey Jenkins; two brothers, Jack Jenkins and wife Fuji of Bremerton, Washington and Tom Jenkins of Odessa, MO; two sisters-in-laws, Lois Jenkins of California, MO and Corleen Jenkins of Independence, MO; a companion, Chuck Jones of Independence, MO, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
