Carl Arthur Fredrickson, Jr., 96, of Lexington passed away June 25, 2019 at his home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 11:00 am at Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will also be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Burial with military honors will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington. Carl was born March 5, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri to Carl and Blanch (Galloway) Fredrickson. He graduated from high school in Olathe, Kansas. Carl graduated on November 16, 1944 from the DARR-AERO-TECH, Inc. and was part of the 52nd Flying Training Detachment. He was a United States Air Force pilot, serving during World War II. He served from June 30, 1947 until being honorably discharged on June 29, 1950. Carl worked as builder and owned and operated The Parsonage Bed and Breakfast for 15 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Turners Club and the Lexington Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed being part of a historic community and taking part in reenactments and homes tours.
Carl is survived by his son, Chris Fredrickson and wife Cindy of Rayville, Missouri; daughter, Carla Fredrickson and husband Larry Bolliard of Wammego, Kansas; and grandchildren Megan Lea Fredrickson and husband James Anders of Edgertown, Kansas and Julia Hendrickson of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joann Hudson.
